In the foreground you can see puddles forming from the rain that was coming down as this was painted. This was created entirely on location as a demonstration of my approach to Plein Air painting during a workshop I taught for other artists.

It was a gray overcast day with occasional rain. I found a sheltered spot from which we could paint, and this is one of the demonstration studies I did for the other artists.
