PLEIN AIR IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING by TOM BROWN

“MORNING FOG”
8x10 inch Impressionist
plein air oil painting by Tom Brown
To purchase this painting email me at: tombrownstudio@cox.net

Fog muffled the early morning sounds and seemed to cast a gauzy veil over the distant trees. It provided a moment of peace before the world awoke. I was happy to be there to revel in the moment and record the sense of it on canvas.

Paintings that are created on location directly from nature are able to capture the feelings, mood and spirit of the moment.

By the way, a book of my paintings will be available later this year. It will feature a variety of my small plein air work as well as larger studio pieces that I am currently preparing for galleries. Stay tuned for more information.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! And a special thanks to all my loyal collectors, students and followers of this blog.

Wow, how is it possible that so much beauty exists, wow, how lovely, how elegant to be able to make such a wonderful visual statement. You are the most articulate person, I worship this transcendental articulation of spirit, that you have mastered. In Tibet there are songs that reach this level of peace, but your work is so much more. NC (I'm not kidding Tibetan masters go for this sense of the sublime, after a lifetime they are able to communicate their comprehension, just the way you have done here. And this is a lot more fun, because it's ART!! (And almost Disney joyous in it's bright peacefulness, like the Ave Maria segment of Fantasia. I'm glad that you don't work for Disney, that would take all of the fun out of it (it's like a monastic system there, the animators are not alowed to have lunch together, no fraternising, because that would be fun, no fun alowed among artists at Disney) shhh, it's a secret, but it's true, and they think some sort of meditative serious minded higher plain is being ascended to: what a load.
