Very nice! I know it is difficult to paint using almost no color. But, you pulled it off beautifully!

Hi Tom, nice piece. Standing out in a crowd. I like the image for what it represents. Your work always brings my admiration.

The first time I did a study like this I was at the Maryland Institute and our assignment was to paint fish, on newsprint, I still have it, I save it because it surprised me that it could be so beautiful and full of subtle color, a gray dead fish, on gray dead news. I love this sort of unexpected discovery, like stumbling on to a diamond in the doldroms of African heat. -Carol
